St. Catharines Saints acquire rights to Priolo and Llord


St. Catharines, Ont. – St. Catharines Saints General Manager Dave Colbourne continues to be busy adding pieces to the team’s roster for the 2013 season. The Saints have acquired both Ian Llord and Steve Priolo.

"We are excited to add both Steve and Ian to the Saints lineup for 2013," said GM Dave Colbourne. Both players bring a ton of experience at the highest level both having played in the National lacrosse league. They will both play a key role this summer as we look to bring the President's Cup to St. Catharines."

Llord has played seven seasons in the NLL dating back to 2007 as a rookie. In 90 career NLL games, Llord has registered 11 goals and 38 assists for 49 points. He has also added 324 loose balls and 170 penalty minutes. He played junior with the St. Catharines A's adding 13 goals and 24 assists for 37 points in 58 career games from 2002-2006. In 2002 he was on the Minto Cup Champion St. Catharines Athletics and in 2008 was a member of the Mann Cup Champion Brampton Excelsior’s.

Priolo has played the past four seasons in the NLL with the Buffalo Bandits. In his pro career he has played in 51 career games registering four goals and 21 assists for 25 points. He has also collected 176 loose balls and 141 penalty minutes. He played junior with the St. Catharines A's in 2009 and 2010 adding 42 points (11G, 31A) in 43 career games. For the past two seasons he has been a member of the MSL's Brooklin Redmen.
