Fowler leads Saints to 11-6 victory over Owen Sound

 
The St. Catharines Sr. B Saints defeat the Owen Sound North Stars by the score of 11-6 on road Sunday night.

St. Catharines led 4-1 after 20 minutes and extended their lead to 7-2 midway through the second period. Owen Sound would cut the lead to three, 9-6, early in the third period. The Saints would answer with the final two goals to secure the five goal road victory.

Corey Fowler had a big game up front for the Saints leading all scorers with a game-high nine points adding three goals and six assists. Brad Favero (3G, 1A), Chris Attwood (2G, 2A) and Ryan McGregor (1G, 3A) all contributed with four points each. Jason Henhawk (3A), Andy Tober (1G, 1A) and Blue Hill (1G) rounded out the Saints scoring.

Owen Sound was led by Andrew Suitor who recorded two goals and two assists. Chris King (1G, 1A),  Stu Gordon (1G), Matt McLeod (1G) and Travis Gibbons (1G), Drew Barfoot (3A) rounded out the North Stars scoring.

In goal, Saints starter Ryan Masters played strong registering a season high 59 saves for the victory. Ryan Oldrieve suffered the loss for Owen Sound.
